About hilighter
We believe every organization deserves the tools to understand how work is changing - and help its people grow with it.
Artificial intelligence is transforming jobs, reshaping skills, and changing what organizations expect from their workforce.
Yet many small businesses, nonprofits, social organizations, and even departments within large corporations lack the resources, expertise, or tools to respond effectively.
We created hilighter to help close that gap.
Built by SkillsBoard SAS, hilighter combines practical experience in skills intelligence with AI-powered technology to make workforce transformation simpler, more accessible, and actionable.
Because managing workforce change shouldn’t be a privilege reserved for large corporations.
For years, serious skills management has meant specialist teams, long implementation projects and dedicated budgets. Large companies could map their jobs, assess their people and plan training. Most other organizations could not.
Small companies, NGOs, nonprofits and individual departments inside bigger groups face the same changes, often with fewer people to absorb them. What they need is not another heavy HR system, but a simple way to see what is changing and decide where to start.
hilighter is designed to remove complexity, not add another administrative task. You start from your own organization and roles, get clear insights, and act on them at your own pace.
From enterprise skills intelligence to accessible workforce transformation.
hilighter is developed and owned by SkillsBoard SAS, a French company. Before hilighter, SkillsBoard’s work focused on enterprise skills management: mapping jobs and skills, assessing capabilities and supporting workforce development, including projects with organizations such as La Poste and Stellantis.
That experience taught us what works in large organizations, and what keeps everyone else from using it. hilighter takes those lessons and turns them into a simpler, AI-assisted, self-service platform that any team can start using on its own.

What we build now
An AI-assisted, self-service platform: understand how roles are evolving, see where skills are needed, and help people grow, without a dedicated HR team.
The future of work starts with understanding how jobs are evolving.
AI does not change work all at once. It changes tasks first, then responsibilities, and then the skills a role requires. Organizations that see these shifts early have time to prepare their people instead of reacting to them.
That is why hilighter’s mission has evolved. Beyond managing skills, we help organizations understand AI’s potential impact on their roles, identify the capabilities that are changing, and prepare employees to adapt. Our analyses are indicative, a starting point for decisions, not a prediction of which jobs will disappear.
01
Which activities in a role are likely to evolve, and which remain essential.
02
How the shape of a job may change as AI takes on part of the work.
03
Which capabilities become more important, and where people may need support.
Organizations should be able to get started without dedicated HR expertise, expensive consultancy, or complex implementation projects.
hilighter aims to provide a genuinely useful free starting point, with optional advanced capabilities as organizational needs expand.
AI should help people and organizations make better decisions, support learning, and recognize capabilities - not remove human judgment.

hilighter is developed and owned by SkillsBoard SAS, a French company registered in 2023 and part of the byGecko group.
The group brings together companies working in IT consulting, skills management, job knowledge and market knowledge. That combination of software engineering, digital transformation and business expertise supports how we build hilighter.
Technology will change work. People will shape what comes next.
We want understanding how work is changing to become a natural, ongoing capability for every organization, not an expensive or occasional HR exercise. A small team should be able to look at its roles, see what AI may change, and decide how to help its people grow, as easily as it reviews its budget.
That’s the future we’re building with hilighter.
Start exploring how AI may change job roles, tasks, and skills within your organization - and take the first step toward preparing your people.
